NATURE AGAINST NATURE is an Artist’s Book in Leporello format (accordion-fold), crafted with recycled handmade paper, monotype printing, and wooden sticks. The book’s pages depict the natural world, the Earth, and Nature on the front, while on the back, we find absolute white: white as a response to emptiness, nothingness, and the human values lost or never acquired.

I created this work for an extraordinary occasion: international artist Gabi Minedi called on us to respond to the tragic end of the Marsican Bear Amarena, ruthlessly killed by humans without an apparent or valid reason. Hence the title, NATURE AGAINST NATURE: man destroys his natural habitat, along with all the animal species it encompasses, ultimately destroying the ecosystem.

All my works are made with recycled materials and water-based colors, composed of multiple recycled materials. This, in particular, is a SCREAM of anger to prompt the observer to reflect.
