Andrea Nolè is an artist living and working between Potenza and Matera. His work originated in graffiti and evolved through public art projects and installations, constantly experimenting with various expressive media.
He creates site-specific works that challenge visual language and conventions through political activism, prompting reflection on urban and human peripheries, addressing complex social issues, and exploring the concept of the “third landscape” in dialogue with local communities.
He engages in “subvertising”—hijacking messages from large commercial advertising spaces through artistic, photographic, or textual interventions—thereby subverting the codes of mass communication. He has created works and interventions in numerous cities, including Rome, Milan, Madrid, Bilbao, and Buenos Aires.
