“L’opera CARILLON è stata realizzata dai miei alunni dalle classi 2A, 2B e 2C dell’istituto Comprensivo Schweitzer di Termoli nel laboratorio artistico espressivo e creativo. L’argomento chemistry and art was extensively covered in Science and Art classes, the Chimikart Competition, open to all schools of every order and degree in Basso Molise, asked students to work on the concept of plastic and related materials and what can be achieved through the reuse, recycling, and transformation of plastic itself.
Our idea was to create an artwork/installation with hundreds of colored acetate sheets, cut, folded, stapled and assembled together, sometimes heated to give them particular shapes.
We used filters for cameras and projectors etc, to be able to “write” with light, just as the great master Bruno Munari taught us when, through polarized light, he painted everywhere, coloring the world with light.
Con l’opera Carillon abbiamo vinto il primo premio. Il Concorso è stato indetto e promosso dal Festival del Sarà con la collaborazione della Momentiv fabbrica Chimica di Termoli , il Museo MACTe arte contemporanea, il MIUR e il Politecnico di Torino”.
