”For people who find it difficult to put their emotions or feelings into words, drawing can be a very helpful medium. Focusing on repetitive patterns also brings relaxation and a sense of calm.”
Karen Chabert has developed a drawing practice inspired by the Zentangle method, which she freely reinterprets through small figurative works made up of repetitive patterns. Aware of the calming and focusing benefits of this process, she aims to share it through accessible workshops, particularly with people who experience difficulties with expression, attention or communication. Her approach offers a simple, guided framework in which everyone can create without needing to “know how to draw”, and then, if they wish, share what their image expresses.
