Fiorella Fiore is an art historian and critic holding a PhD in the History of Contemporary Art and in Christian, Late Antique, and Medieval Archaeology. Her research focuses primarily on public art—specifically the intersections between public art and public archaeology (the subject of her doctoral thesis)—and the social role of museums, a field she also engages with as a board member of the ICOM Italia (International Council of Museums) Basilicata-Calabria chapter. She is a regular contributor and regional correspondent for Il Giornale dell’Arte a leading national art publication.
She teaches at the Istituto del Design in Matera and works as an independent curator of contemporary art exhibitions and events.
