Fiorella Fiore

“The role of artists is becoming increasingly prominent in the design of cultural spaces. Artists can truly help communities foster an awareness that enables them to call upon institutions for a vision regarding the future of their territories.”

Fiorella Fiore is an art historian and critic holding a PhD in the History of Contemporary Art and in Christian, Late Antique, and Medieval Archaeology. Her research focuses primarily on public art—specifically the intersections between public art and public archaeology (the subject of her doctoral thesis)—and the social role of museums, a field she also engages with as a board member of the ICOM Italia (International Council of Museums) Sezione Basilicata-Calabria.
