Activism and creativity move Marcella Di Palo to create artifacts with recycled fabrics and materials, sharing her passion for eco-design with the community of Derry (Ireland).
She established her @marcihandmade brand as a startupper and participates in various initiatives organized by networks that promote sustainable self-production as @re_imagine2022 a pop-up shop that supports and rewards eco-designers.
For Marcella sewing is both the creation of products as tote bags, tissue holders and coordinated backpacks, but also community involvement in workshops such as the Repair Cafe Foyle or the Zero Waste North West events @zerowastenw , where teaching how to reinvent waste to extend the life of waste fabrics and at the same time create new opportunities to take care of the environment
