Marisa Santopietro

For Marisa Santopietro, design means sustainability and collaboration. Marisa has transformed the carpentry inherited from her family into MSD DESIGN , a design studio with a historic production site and a large showroom, plus a shop corner in the historic center of Potenza, in southern Italy. The enterprise that previously produced custom-made furniture thus gave life to custom-made design, updating the love for restyling not only self-produced but created in collaboration with nearby artists, designers and craftsmen.

The socio-cultural commitment certifies the values that MSD Design has always promoted in favor of the circular economy and equal opportunities by creating exhibitions, installations, events organized with institutions and associative networks such as La Potenza del Design and in collaboration with the IdD Istituto del Design in Matera, which opens up training opportunities at regional level and beyond.
